Alexana

The 2011 Alexana Pinot Gris is a knockout - a favorite around the winery where we think it is our most complex and satisfying Pinot Gris to date. Fermented in 75% stainless steel tank, 12.5% new French Oak and 12.5% neutral French Oak barrels, this exquisite Pinot Gris exudes aromas of candied pear, tart apple, minerals, wet stone and peach blossoms. The palate explodes with papaya and peach, interlacing with intense minerality. The rich palate-feel is framed by vivid acid, creating a deep textural quality. Perfect at cellar temperature, either alone or with food, the 2011 Pinot Gris is beautifully complex.
