Dr. Revana balances a successful practice as a cardiologist in Houston, Texas with his commitment to Alexana Estate Vineyard. His desire to take on an additional career in winemaking is rooted in his Indian Heritage, passion for both wine, and the rich tradition and culture of winemaking. 

First introduced to fine wine by friends, he quickly became fascinated with Bordeaux’s first growths and established Revana Estate in Napa Valley. Dr. Revana traveled the wine regions of Europe and the United States, learning along the way, and he became determined to create vineyard estates from which he could craft his own world-class wines. His passion for winemaking led him to pursue other varietals that he admired from Burgundy, which inspired him to establish Alexana Estate in the Dundee Hills of Oregon–a region known for growing excellent Pinot Noir. 

Dr. Revana joins a small circle of vintners with wineries in multiple, critically-acclaimed wine regions, including Bernard Arnault of LVMH, the Antinori family, and Joseph Drouhin. Today, he is the only immigrant from India to own three wineries that have all been featured on Top 100 lists and are highly acclaimed.

A native Oregonian, Tresider Burns took a circuitous route to winemaking with stops at the University of Virginia and eleven years in the tech industry between New York and San Francisco along the way. After returning to Oregon in 2008, and after some serious culture shock reentering the bucolic world of the Willamette Valley, he turned his focus to winemaking during his studies in the Oregon State University Fermentation Sciences Program. 

His first harvest job landed him at Lemelson Vineyards under the tutelage of winemaker Anthony King—a place he would spend the next four years learning organic winegrowing. In 2015, he took the role of Associate Winemaker under industry veteran Robert Brittan which led to a four-year apprenticeship learning the finer arts of winemaking across almost thirty vineyards and five wine labels. Burns joined White Rose Estate in 2019 to continue the tradition of whole cluster winemaking developed by the late Jesus Guillen. For three years he managed winemaking and tasting room operations at the little winery at the top of the Dundee Hills. 

Tresider joined the Alexana Winery team in May of 2022, and looks forward to continuing the award-winning, Alexana history!

Andrew came to Alexana in 2017 and has since climbed the ranks to the position of Assistant Winemaker.  After graduating from Wake Forest University, Andrew cut his teeth managing the Rhone varietal vineyards of North Carolina’s Yadkin Valley. He then completed a Masters Degree in Natural Resource Management and earned a Vineyard Management Certificate from Washington State University online while working among the hybrid varieties of the midwest.  

Andrew describes winemaking as the ultimate intersection between labor, science, and art, and is most excited to help Alexana wines express the unique terroir of the Revana vineyard.  He has proven himself a valuable asset working alongside head winemaker Bryan Weil.

Bringing a wealth of winemaking knowledge and a expertise in organic wine farming, Drew Herman assumed the role of Director of Viticulture at Revana Vineyards in 2023. Graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology and a Minor in Botany, Drew now oversees all Estate vineyard operations, spearheading the adoption of organic vineyard management techniques. His innovative approach brings about dynamic changes that foster year-round flourishing vineyards, ensuring the production of healthy fruit that significantly influences the intricacies of the wines. These enhancements uphold our commitment to crafting world-class wines by elevating their quality and staying true to our philosophy.

Rose Ballantine grew up in Napa Valley surrounded by world renown vineyards and winemakers.

She attended the University of California, Davis and graduated in 2019 from the esteemed Viticulture and Enology program. Rose has worked harvests around the world since 2017 including Napa Valley, Sonoma, Central Otago, New Zealand, Uco Valley, Argentina and now the Willamette Valley!

Rose quickly fell in love with Pinot Noir, which brought her to Oregon in 2020 and to Alexana in 2021. She was hired by previous winemaker Bryan Weil as the Enologist and has since been promoted to Assistant Winemaker under Alexana’s new winemaker Tresider Burns.

Alexana has become Rose’s home away from home and she cannot wait for the future of the brand and feels lucky to be a part of this new chapter of growth and winemaking!
