Luxury Pinot Noir Without Compromise
For nearly two decades, Alexana Estate has been dedicated to crafting small-production, luxury Pinot Noir from the western slopes of the Dundee Hills, wines once reserved exclusively for our tasting room and mailing list.
With the introduction of Mosaic, we set out to challenge expectations: what if the same meticulously farmed, organically grown fruit, hand-harvested and fermented in small lots, and aged exclusively in French oak from the world’s top cooperages, could be available to wine lovers who can’t visit us in the Dundee Hills?
Mosaic is the answer.

2024 Alexana ‘Mosaic’
ESTATE PINOT NOIR
Introducing our ‘Mosaic’ Pinot Noir, a testament to the unparalleled diversity of terroir within Alexana Estate’s two vineyards nestled in the western slopes of the Dundee Hills: Alexana Estate Vineyard and Kinney Ranch Vineyard.
At the heart of our ‘Mosaic’ lies the Alexana Estate Vineyard, a renowned site twice honored in Wine Spectator’s TOP 100. Straddling a unique confluence of volcanic and ancient marine sedimentary soils, this vineyard features 32 blocks, each a distinct expression of soil, clone, and rootstock.
Alexana Estate Vineyard
An Oregon “Grand Cru” in the making.
Established in 2005, the estate captures the full potential of the Dundee Hills’ western slopes. 32 vineyard blocks spanning 50 acres from 360 to 640 feet in elevation, the vineyard is among the most geologically diverse in North America, with 22 distinct soil types woven across rolling hills and steep, rugged terrain. Ancient marine sedimentary and volcanic soils converge to create wines of depth, energy, and complexity.
A Vineyard twice recognized in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of the World (#14 and #17), Alexana continues to define the benchmark for Dundee Hills Pinot Noir.

Off the heels of the inaugural ‘mosaic’ bottling…
#65 TOP 100 List 2025. The 2023 ‘Mosaic’ comes from a whopping 22 soil types and utilizes Pommard, Wädenswil, La Tâche, and a range of Dijon clones. This comes off fresh and marvelously earthy, with sea salt and stony accents that collide with a fresh Satsuma orange zest and a glorious core of red and dark fruits. Big, bold and sumptuous on the mouth, enjoy now and over the next fifteen plus years to come.

Kinney Ranch Vineyard
Planted in 2019, Kinney Ranch Vineyard is a former horse ranch that shares fencelines with the iconic Thomas Vineyard and Alexana’s Estate Vineyard.
20 distinct vineyard blocks are planted across 42 acres to capture a rare expression of true “hillside magic.” Defined by steep, rugged slopes, this organically farmed site is yielding wines that balance power with finesse. The first two vintages have already produced bottlings rated 96 and 97 points, signaling its extraordinary potential.

Organic farming
Together, these two vineyards offer a vibrant tapestry of flavors. Regenerative farming practices and meticulous hand-harvesting ensure each block’s individual character is preserved. The grapes are fermented and aged separately, allowing their unique personalities to fully develop before being brought together into this final ‘Mosaic’ of Pinot Noir.
We treat the land as a dynamic, ever-evolving system—carefully monitored like the wine in our barrels—while eliminating plowing to maximize carbon sequestration and soil health through rich microbial life. Guided by data and continuous learning, our approach honors the interconnectedness of all living things and reflects our responsibility to steward the land for future generations.
mosaic winemakers
Our winemaking team, Tresider Burns and Julia Cresto, work with more than 100 individual micro-fermentations, produced in small 2–4 ton lots using French oak foudres, concrete tanks, and stainless steel. These wines are then aged for 10–12 months in 100% French oak barrels—the same program used for our $100+ estate wines.
