Dr. Madaiah Revana
FOUNDER
Dr. Madaiah Revana balances a successful practice as a cardiologist in Houston, Texas with his commitment to Alexana Estate Vineyard. His desire to take on an additional career in winemaking is rooted in his Indian Heritage, passion for both wine, and the rich tradition and culture of winemaking.
First introduced to fine wine by friends, he quickly became fascinated with Bordeaux’s first growths and established Revana Estate in Napa Valley. Dr. Revana traveled the wine regions of Europe and the United States, learning along the way, and he became determined to create vineyard estates from which he could craft his own world-class wines. His passion for winemaking led him to pursue other varietals that he admired from Burgundy, which inspired him to establish Alexana Estate in the Dundee Hills of Oregon–a region known for growing excellent Pinot Noir.
Dr. Revana joins a small circle of vintners with wineries in multiple, critically-acclaimed wine regions, including Bernard Arnault of LVMH, the Antinori family, and Joseph Drouhin. Today, he is the only immigrant from India to own three wineries that have all been featured on Top 100 lists and are highly acclaimed.

Tresider Burns
WINEMAKER
A native Oregonian, Tresider Burns took a circuitous route to winemaking with stops at the University of Virginia and eleven years in the tech industry between New York and San Francisco along the way. After returning to Oregon in 2008, and after some serious culture shock reentering the bucolic world of the Willamette Valley, he turned his focus to winemaking during his studies in the Oregon State University Fermentation Sciences Program.
His first harvest job landed him at Lemelson Vineyards under the tutelage of winemaker Anthony King—a place he would spend the next four years learning organic winegrowing. In 2015, he took the role of Associate Winemaker under industry veteran Robert Brittan which led to a four-year apprenticeship learning the finer arts of winemaking across almost thirty vineyards and five wine labels. Burns joined White Rose Estate in 2019 to continue the tradition of whole cluster winemaking developed by the late Jesus Guillen. For three years he managed winemaking and tasting room operations at the little winery at the top of the Dundee Hills.
Tresider joined the Alexana Winery team in May of 2022, and looks forward to continuing the award-winning, Alexana history!

Julia Cresto
ASSOCIATE WINEMAKER
Associate Winemaker Julia Cresto grew up in San Diego but discovered her passion—and ultimately her home—in Oregon. She earned a degree in Fermentation Science from Oregon State University in 2015, then went on to gain diverse winemaking experience in Napa, New Zealand, and Australia. Her journey eventually brought her back to Oregon, where she developed a deep connection to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Julia honed her craft under some of the industry’s most respected names, including Lynn Penner-Ash and Josh Bergström, before spending nearly a decade working alongside renowned winemaker Luisa Ponzi. During that time, she helped plant new vineyards, transition sites to organic and no-till farming practices, and played a key role in evolving the winery’s stylistic direction.
Now at Alexana, Julia brings a fresh perspective shaped by global experience and a commitment to thoughtful, site-driven winemaking. Her approach is defined by meticulous attention to detail, seamlessly blending vineyard and cellar practices to craft wines that express both place, precision and creative intuition.

Andrew Rolph
CELLAR MASTER
Andrew Rolph was raised in Tennessee and prior to his arrival in Oregon he worked in the specialty coffee industry. Drawing on the industries’ shared importance of place and process, he became fascinated by the process of winemaking and moved to Oregon to gain hands-on experience.
After finding the Willamette Valley, and Alexana Estate in particular, a compelling place he jumped at the opportunity to join the harvest team in 2024. Following harvest, Andrew joined winemaking team full-time as a cellar hand, providing support to the operation of the cellar and winemaking processes. Andrew is a key member of the Alexana team, bringing a bright creative mind to the cellar.

Alex Lombardo
OENOLOGIST
Alex has a broad scope of experience, originally working in lab pharmaceuticals after graduating with a degree in Biology. He found his love of wine while working in restaurants in Pennsylvania.
Alex made the transition to Oregon and worked at acclaimed wineries such as Bergstrom, Domaine Serene, Troon and Ponzi. Alex’s love of Nebbiolo took him to Barolo to spend a formative year working in the vineyard and winery at Travaglini Gattinara. Most recently he has been working at Ambar Estate as a wine educator before joining our team.

Dr. Madiah Revana
FOUNDER
As I reflect on the past, I have accomplished much in life due to a nurturing and supportive family, self-discipline, and a determination to give maximum effort to everything I undertake.
It started with a commitment to learning and education. I moved away from home at a young age to live with my brother so I could focus on my studies. I was fortunate to live with another brother while in university so I could continue to study hard. I discovered a passion for cardiology and received a scholarship to attend Mysore Medical College, one of the best medical schools in India. My dedication and their sacrifice paid off, and I graduated medical school as Valedictorian in a class of 224 students.
I was accepted for a three-year residency in internal medicine in New York. This was an uncommon accomplishment because international medical school graduates were required to spend four years in residency. After New York, I held positions in Philadelphia and Dallas and then joined a private medical practice in Houston. I learned about wine from fellow physicians, which became my hobby.
I started looking for a vineyard in Napa Valley and wanted raw land to develop it from scratch and learn about grape growing. I purchased a beautiful place on the west benchland in Saint Helena and recruited winemaker Heidi Barrett and viticulturist Jim Barbour. We planted it in 1998 and our inaugural release of 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon was featured in 2004 Cabernet issue of Wine Spectator. Our 2007 vintage was named the #4 wine in the world.
My love for Burgundies led me to Oregon and winemaker Lynn Penner Ash in 2005 where I came across a property in its third leaf. We built a winery and hospitality center and named it Alexana after my daughter.
I went on a wine country adventure to Argentina in 2008 to taste the local wine and visited The Vines of Mendoza in the Uco Valley. The region was intriguing – alluvial soils in high altitude, yet a temperate climate. We opened Corazón del Sol winery in 2014 and produced our first vintage. I later became the first vintner to produce GSM Rhône varietals in Argentina.
Within ten years, I created thriving wineries in three of the world’s most collectible wine regions. I continue to be inspired and contemplate the future.
